From Farm to Table
Our mangoes are naturally grown, in fact we grow our own mangoes, and also source some from local growers. The fruit is carefully picked, pre washed and carried in cases from the garden to F&L, in the town of Pont Sondé. F&L’s shop is the closest facility to the orchards; therefore our fruits stay fresh longer. The mangoes are later re-washed, then hot water treated for 90 minutes or more, depending on the size of the fruit. They then go through a rigorous selection process, where only the most beautiful mangoes are exported. All steps are supervised by a USDA inspector, as well as an inspector from the Haitian department of agriculture, who are both on-site, during all hours of operation.
